We have successfully designed and implemented a CCTV system for Tower Crane for a construction site of Housing Authority of HongKong. This new system gives new idea of how builing consultants could monitoring their Tower Crane machine operation to enhance safety by real time monitoring and recording of Tower Crane's loader and real time monitoring and recording of loading bay activity by cameras at ground level.
With outstanding image quality up to D1 (720 x 480) and 30fps, operator of tower crane can now control cameras at the group level and get a crystal clear real time picture of loading area which was impossible before for a eye view in fog, dusty and bad weather. On the other hand, the activity and images of the "loading car" can now viewd and recorded at management office or remote site.
